August 18, 2010 - The Colorado Trust Names Ned Calonge, MD as President and CEO
Ned Calonge, MD has been named the new President & CEO of The Colorado Trust. Calonge currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of the State of Colorado through the Department of Public Health and Environment.
August 4, 2010 - Western Union Foundation Announces Strategic Staff Appointments
The Western Union Foundation announced the appointment of Talya Boasch as Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Carolyn Cavicchio as Director of Stakeholder Engagement.
July 15, 2010 - The Colorado Trust Names Three New Trustees
The Colorado Trust announced the election to its Board of Trustees of Alan Synn, MD, Vasular Institute of the Rockies; John Hopkins, recently retired President and CEO of Rocky Mountain Health Plans; and Colleen Schwarz, Vice President-Sales for Community Reinvestment Fund, USA.
July 6, 2010 - The Women's Foundation of Colorado Names new President & CEO
Louise C. Atkinson will join The Women's Foundation of Colorado in July 2010 as President & CEO. She previously served as Senior Vice President/General Manager, Merchant Services Division of First Data Corporation.
June 22, 2010 - Low-interest loans provide fast relief for cash-strapped health care organizations
The Colorado Health Foundation works with lending group to make $3 million available in short-term loans for financially stable health care organizations. The Load Fund is only available to nonprofits that receive grants from the Colorado Health Foundation as of June 1, 2010.
June 16, 2010 - Memorial sale could create heavy-hitting health charity
The Gazette - What could an extra few hundred million dollars mean for health care in the Pikes Peak region? That's a question the Citizens' Commission on Ownership and Governance of Memorial Health Systems will ponder in the coming weeks as it decides whether to recommend selling the city-owned hospital system.

Colorado Mountain College eNews - The Denver-based Gates Family Foundation has pledged a grant of $30,000 that will be awarded toward completing the $2.5 million Climax Molybdenum Leadership Center at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville.
June 11, 2010 - Front Range bounty comes to Southwest Colorado
Durango Herald News - Front Range money used to stay on the Front Range until the advent of Rural Philanthropy Days, which introduces big-city foundations to rural nonprofit organizations. The fourth Rural Philanthropy Days finishes today in Mancos.
May 12, 2010 - Boettcher Foundation confirms matching grant for leadership center
Colorado Mountain College eNews - The Boettcher Foundation has committed funds to help complete Colorado Mountain College's Climax Molybdenum Leadership Center building, currently under construction at the college's campus in Leadville.
May 11, 2010 - The Colorado Trust's President and CEO to Retire
Irene M. Ibarra, President and CEO of The Colorado Trust, announced that she will retire this year. Ibarra, who assumed leadership of The Trust in January 2007, said she will step down once a new CEO is named.
May 7, 2010 - Rose Community Foundation Announces First Quarter 2010 Grants
During the first quarter of 2010, Rose Community Foundation awarded 60 grants totaling more than $1.1 million. Of this amount, $708,720 was awarded for 25 grants from Rose Community Foundation's program areas to nonprofit organizations.

Western Union in cooperation with its agents has activated a "No Transfer Fee" program, for a limited time, for money-transfers sent to Haiti from participating Agent locations in the U.S., Canada, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and select locations in France.

To help the victims of Haiti's deadliest earthquake in more than 200 years, The Western Union Company announced a number of diaster relief efforts in support of Haiti including a no fee transfer service to Haiti from the U.S., Canada and France.
