Climate Action Philanthropy Network

The Climate Action Philanthropy Network is focused on opportunities for sharing and potential collaboration on ways to address climate issues through philanthropic grants, investments, advocacy and policy change. The meetings are held quarterly. Co-Chairs: Erika Church (Buck Foundation), Julie Voyles (The Denver Foundation) and Amanda Hill (Gates Family Foundation).

The focus of our learning and exchange for the April meeting will be on Climate and Agriculture

Featured speakers include: 

  • Cindy Lair, Deputy Director and Climate Resilience Specialist, Colorado Department of Agriculture. Cindy will provide a high-level overview of how Climate + Agriculture fits into addressing greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals for the state. Brief overview of Office focus areas (soil health, STAR program, energy, water, etc.), highlighting specific areas of work and partnership opportunities. 

  • Anica WongQuivira Coalition. Anica will share their on-the-ground regenerative agriculture work in New Mexico and Colorado, federal grants, and opportunities to expand work in Colorado.

There will be open time for funders to share their work.
